Szegedi Tudományegyetem Klebelsberg Kuno Könyvtára
In this lesson we will introduce you to one of Contenta’s repositories that is a bit more special than the others.
This repository is the SZTE Klebelsberg Library Gallery and Media Library.
This collection is the central digital repository and exhibition space for the image, video and audio materials of the SZTE Klebelsberg Library. Documents for which the Library has the original are presented here in digital form.
A number of collections and virtual exhibitions are available here, including:
Albert Szent-Györgyi was the first Nobel Laureate from our University, and as a Professor and former Rector he is closely associated with the history of the University. His collection of photographs enriches the holdings of our Library, and his life and work can be seen in more than 800 images in his albums.
The relics of Katalin Karikó, research biologist, research professor at the University of Szeged, winner of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine, are part of the collection. In addition to the photographs, a virtual exhibition of Katalin Karikó’s childhood memories, her gradebook and her Degree in biology has been created.
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Attila József Study and Information Centre, a virtual photo exhibition was created showing the old building on Dugonics Square, the construction phases, the move-in, and then the major anniversaries and events.
