Reading lesson: Practical information about the course

Now, let’s review a few key points from the Contemporary Library and Information Skills course.

Subject information

1. Requirement: valid library membership

In order to complete the course, you must have a valid library membership at the SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives.
Students of the University of Szeged must first fill out and submit a library membership declaration form in Modulo. On the Library’s website, under the Registration menu, you will find the option “ USZ Library membership declaration.” Click on this to read the information and access the Modulo form.

  • Submission → SZTE Klebelsberg Library and Archives → Membership declaration for university students
  • Once you have completed and submitted the form, you must verify the data at the Circulation Desk after at least 30 minutes have passed. Students who register this way will remain library members for as long as they are actively enrolled at the University.
  • If you have a valid SZTE student ID card, it will also serve as your library card; if you do not have one, you will receive a library membership card. You can use either of these cards to access the Library’s services.

We have also created an infographic about enrollment.

2. Information sharing and communication

4. Curriculum

  • The course material consists of reading and video lessons and can be acquired through independent study, aided by the knowledge check at the end of each lesson.
  • The knowledge check are available during the semester.
5. Exam
  • The course can be completed with a CooSpace exam test based on the course material during the exam period.
  • Preparing for the exam is easier if you try out and use the library services presented in the course material.
